Add To inrelay​

Use Slack's message shortcut on a useful message and choose Add to inrelay.

The modal lets you:

  • Attach the message thread to an existing initiative.
  • Create a new initiative from that message.

inrelay ingests the selected message, thread replies, and attached files. Supported file extraction includes TXT, Markdown, JSON transcripts, DOCX, PDF, XLSX, and PPTX.

Quality Updates​

After /intake generate ENG-123, inrelay posts a quality report to Slack when a channel is available.

Slack quality updates summarize status and link back to the initiative page. PRD drafting is still gated by operational blockers such as no usable source material, stale required quality input, material conflicts, permissions, billing, provider, or cost-cap failures. Product-context gaps can be carried into the PRD as section-level gap metadata, and unresolved gap sections block PRD approval.

Document-Readiness Threads​

When inrelay detects material product-document gaps, it shows 2 to 5 targeted readiness questions in the initiative page. Slack may also post the questions when a channel is available.

Answer in the initiative page when possible. Slack thread replies remain supported as secondary input:

  • Reply without a prefix to answer the whole set.
  • Use Q1:, Q2:, or 1: style prefixes to answer a specific question.
  • Include multiple prefixed answers in one message when you want to answer several questions at once.

inrelay records the answer as source material, deduplicates already-answered questions, and refreshes quality.

Technical Discovery Threads​

After a PRD is approved, inrelay opens a Slack thread for Technical Discovery & Refinement when it knows which channel to use.

Reply directly in the thread. inrelay can ask up to three rounds of questions. Longer, complete answers may close discovery automatically. If enough context exists before the cap is reached, run:

/intake discover-close ENG-123

Manual close preserves unanswered or unresolved items so Delivery Plan generation can still account for them.

App Mentions​

Mention inrelay in Slack for quick initiative answers:

@relay ENG-123 status?
@relay ENG-123 document?
@relay ENG-123 context?

If you ask from a Slack thread already attached to inrelay, inrelay can infer the initiative from the thread. Otherwise, include the initiative ID.

Slack Home​

Open the inrelay app Home tab in Slack to see:

  • Pending document approvals.
  • Setup nudges for GitHub and Linear.
